Abstract |
The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of Intermittent Hypoxic Training (IHT) on body fat and metabolism regulatory hormone (Leptin. Insulin, Cotisol and Thyroxine) in obese women. This stud employed 14 obese women as the subjects. The subjects carried on IHT thirty minute two session a day, five time a week for 3 weeks. Before and 3 weeks after the intervention hormone and body composition variables were measured. Statistical techniques for data analysis were t-test to determine the differences pre and post IHT. In conclusion, this study demonstrated that body fat and leptin, thyroxine were significantly decreased post IHT. |
